What should I wear for the training sessions?

For Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training, it is recommended to wear a gi (traditional uniform) or no-gi attire (rashguard and shorts).

No Zippers or Pockets:Gi or No-Gi: make sure Your sport clothes  doesn't have any zippers or pockets.

These can be dangerous as they can get caught during grappling.

No-Gi: If you're training in no-gi, wear tight-fitting athletic wear like a rash guard and board shorts or spats (leggings).

Make sure there are no pockets or zippers on these either.

Comfortable Clothes:Your clothes should allow for movement.

Whether you’re wearing a gi or no-gi, make sure they’re stretchy and form-fitting enough to avoid discomfort while rolling (sparring).

Loose clothes could get caught during training.

 

 

What should I bring for my first class?

For your first class, bring water, a towel if need it and a positive attitude:)

How important is hygiene during training?

Hygiene is crucial for the safety and well-being of all participants. Please ensure you are clean and have trimmed nails before each session.

 

What is the difference between gi and no-gi training?

Gi training involves the use of a traditional uniform, while no-gi training allows participants to wear rashguards and shorts or leggings .

 

Is there a minimum age requirement for kids' training?

We offer Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training for kids starting at age 6. Our instructors are experienced in working with young children.

 

Are there any fitness requirements to join the classes?

There are no specific fitness requirements to join our classes. Our instructors will work with you at your own pace.

 

What is the etiquette expected during training?

Our community is built on mutual trust and respect. We expect all participants to follow the guidelines of respect and sportsmanship during training sessions.
